About LHS

Our mission is to undertake impactful collaborative research in the evolving field of health law. We explore a diverse range of vital issues in health law, policy, regulation, and ethics to improve and advance health and well-being across society. These include  advancements in health technologies and the ethical, social, and legal implications of law, regulation, and policy throughout the life course.

Through rigorous research, analysis, and engagement in law reform processes and disseminating our research through the media and other platforms, we strive to shape policies, practices, and laws to promote well-being, dismantle barriers to healthcare access and achieve better outcomes throughout society.

Our research will contribute to advancements in the way legal problems are understood by shedding light on the lived experiences of those who access healthcare and those who experience barriers to healthcare access. Our collaborative and diverse members conduct research and engage with the broader community, Government, law reform bodies and other stakeholders at the intersection of law, health, and ethics to drive positive change and impact on communities.
